VP Innovation Strategy & Portfolio Management
Stephan Ramesohl received diploma degrees in business engineering [University (TH) Karlsruhe, Germany], in economics [University Aix-Marseille, France] and a PhD in engineering [Department for Electrical Engineering, Energy Technologies, University Paderborn, Germany].
Since 2016 he is Vice-President Innovation Strategy and Portfolio Management of E.ON SE in Essen, steering the E.ON Group innovation strategy and portfolio of innovation activities. Coordination of innovation-related ideation processes across business units and shaping innovation culture within E.ON. Managing the pool of technology, behavioural-science and business expert teams for E.ON Innovation Hubs
From 2011 to 2016 he was Vice-President Innovation Portfolio Management of E.ON AG in Düsseldorf, being in charge of steering the group-wide portfolio of all technology and innovation activities, coordination of knowledge and innovation management at E.ON including research policy activities.
Since 2007 he acted as head of the Competence Center Gas Utilisation of E.ON Ruhrgas AG, Essen, and since 2008 to 2011 as Vice-President (Research & Development) at E.ON Ruhrgas. He was in charge of triggering innovative end-use technologies with focus on sustainable solutions for future energy use in buildings and cities.
From 1994-2007, he worked at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate Environment Energy, most recently as vice-director of the Research Group 1 "Future Energy and Transport Structures" and head of the focus project "New energy carriers and fuels".
