Matthijs van Leeuwen
Matthijs van Leeuwen is an energy lawyer specialising in Dutch and European regulatory issues, renewables and energy infrastructure with a focus on energy project development, commercial contracting and (project) financing. He has broad experience in multiple national and international energy related projects, ranging from off- and onshore wind projects to the first Dutch LNG terminal, the Bergermeer underground gas storage facility and the merchant interconnector linking the Dutch and UK high voltage grids. He is the coordinator of the Norton Rose Fulbright LLP global working group focussing on energy storage. He is currently involved in the North Sea Energy Law Programme, an EU accredited executive LL.M jointly organised by 4 European Universities.
