Kate leads Environmental Defense Fund’s energy-water initiatives. She implements policy strategies to increase energy and water efficiency and clean energy options to reduce climate change pollution and water intensity. She serves on the City of Austin Integrated Water Resource Planning Task Force and the Advisory Board of the Smart Cities Council.Prior to joining EDF, Kate worked on climate change and energy initiatives at the U.S. Government Accountability Office, U.S. Department of Energy, and U.S. Department of Defense. She holds Master’s degrees from the Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies and the University of Glasgow, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas.
