Alexandra Boot has been a lawyer since 1989 and founder/partner of Boot Advocaten (Boot Lawyers). Formerly Alexandra was a partner at Houthoff Advocaten, Andersen Legal, KPMG en Lovells.
In addition to her real estate practice, Alexandra has specialized herself in the field of energy law during the recent years. In this area sustainability is an important target in particular, which is given shape, inter alia, by means of Energy Service Companies (ESCo’s).
Alexandra is founder and a member of the strategy board of the Dutch ESConetwork. This network aims to better enable users of buildings to acquire knowledge and to identify opportunities in the field of ESCo’s. Furthermore Alexandra is one of the founding partners of the Blue Building Institute: a knowledge institute, networkplatform, incubator and initiator to enhance the human well being in the build environment. Furthermore Alexandra is main shareholder of Cardea Buildings. Cardea Buildings’ goal is to improve the comfort and productivity of people working in buildings. Cardea provides independent surveys and monitoring services which assess building performance based on the user’s wellbeing and supports the users and owners of those buildings in enabling them to improve the comfort and productivity. It focus lies on the main comfort parameters: temperature, acoustics, air quality and light.
