Alejandro is the Analytics Director of EESN, where he leads the organisation’s efforts to understand young energy professionals and their views on energy. He works as a doctorate student at the Sustainability and Technology group at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH Zurich). In his research, Alejandro focuses on the influence of technological change on energy policies. He holds a MSc in Energy Management and Sustainability (EPFL, Switzerland), and a BSc in Energy Engineering (UPM, Spain).
Previously, Alejandro worked in the solar photovoltaic industry at Cleanergetic (Spain) and First Solar (U.A.E.). In 2015, he co-founded the Energy Business, Policy and Technology Group at EPFL, and, in 2016, the European Energy Students’ Network. In both organisations, his main goal was to promote a comprehensive, critical and multidisciplinary approach to energy challenges.
