Zoetic has finalized its first power purchase agreement in West Africa and is in late-stage discussions with multiple African governments to increase electricity generation in their countries using our innovative, hydrokinetic power solutions. Inspired by President Obama’s Power Africa initiative, Zoetic is committed to maximizing the opportunity for significant increases in hydro energy.
In Africa, the population now stands at more than 1 billion. Only one quarter of the population has access to electricity today. Roughly 650 million people in countries south of the Sahara have no access to electricity at all. African progress is held back as unreliable power continues to undermine the delivery of essential services to both the local populace and foreign operators.
